The Process of Quickly Defeating Traffic Citations or Other Charges Does not Have to Entail Outrageous Attorney Fees!

Essentially, if I'm doing your ticket or infraction, I charge a flat $175.00 for the first violation the officer writes on the slip he gives you; then each additional "sub-violation" is slightly less than the first $175.00. For example, if the cop or state patrol officer cited you for speeding and failure to yield, the failure to yield I would throw in for anywhere from $65-125.00 depending on your driving record, how fast you we're going etc..

Charges involving possible incarceration (even if only slight chances of jail or very limited jail time) or loss of your driving privilege are naturally more expensive. And here you should call me: sentences are virtually ALWAYS contingent on the defendant's previous criminal record and history of traffic and other driving related violations.

Rarely do you need to appear in Court for the non-criminal related cases: i.e. traffic tickets, speeding tickets and other infractions. I just file discovery demands (explained below) and the other side caves in or I use a technicality to force a dismissal. Sometimes I need you there for a hearing and if so I'll let you know. Sometimes, if you're driving record is not great, I'll get a reduction or other "plea bargain" type deal where a traffic ticket is reduced to something else, or you just pay a small amount to the Court in exchange for changing the nature of the infraction so it won't effect your driving record, insurance rates, commercial/truck license permits, or other consideration/priority you tell me you are shooting for.

Most of my cases involve my filing with the Court and serving on the City Attorney (or County as the case may have it) what are called "Discovery Demands" and other detailed and thorough requests for evidence. It is your constitutional right, for example, to even subpoena the computer programming code that makes up the software inherent in the breathalyzer machines. Yes, you can in fact get access to even the "C" source code; either in the form of UML and other algorithm descriptions or even viewing the source code itself in some instances. Naturally, most traffic ticket cases to not take things to that level. But make no mistake it is the same idea: you have a right to know the history of, say, the number of times a particular radar gun has been either tested or had to be repaired. You can look at when this particular device was put out into use: was it 2 years ago or back in the early 1990's?
